Joe Studlick

Mr. Studlick is a development and exploration geologist with more than 46 years of experience in the E&P business in technical and management roles. He has an extensive background in offshore and onshore Gulf of Mexico (GOM), good exposure to many worldwide basins, and more than 15 years of significant experience in the U.S. deepwater GOM. He excels in business development and management, especially in solving complex problems and managing large, multidisciplinary projects from opportunity access through exploration and appraisal to redevelopment. Joe is the 2009 AAPG Dott Award recipient for The Atlas of Deepwater Outcrops and is an AAPG Charles Taylor Fellow.

Diamond Mohamed

With more than 49 years of E&P experience, Dr. Mohamed has extensive expertise in reservoir engineering research, reservoir management, and integrated reservoir simulation studies. He developed techniques for history matching based on the principles of pattern recognition and genetic algorithms, created multimillion cell models both as single and dual media, and developed stochastic techniques to characterize and history match simulation models. He is highly skilled in probabilistic techniques in geologic and engineering settings. Diamond has worked in the Gulf of Mexico, Venezuela, Peru, Libya, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, West Africa, and Tunisia.

Ken Mallon

Mr. Mallon is a development and exploration geologist with more than 56 years of E&P experience. He has worked for majors, consulting companies, and as an independent consultant. Ken has been a member or leader on many integrated field and reservoir studies which resulted in significant reserve additions. Recent work has focused on large redevelopment projects, reserve estimates, and asset sales. He has extensive experience throughout the onshore and offshore U.S. and internationally in Asia, India, and South America. He is a recognized expert and affiliated with professional societies on reserve and resource definitions, classification, and evaluations. Ken is a 2009 recipient of the AAPG Distinguished Service Award.

Dr. Barbara Radovich

Dr. Radovich has more than 47 years of worldwide experience in 2D- and 3D-seismic and well log sequence stratigraphy of clastics and carbonates, from fluvial to deepwater settings, and basin to reservoir scales of investigation. She is a proven oil-finder, having developed interpretations leading to major discoveries in deepwater Nigeria for which she received Texaco’s highest research award. She is an industry-recognized speaker on shelf margin to deepwater settings within the framework of sequence stratigraphy and on the integration of 3D-seismic attribute and visualization techniques. Her experience covers more than 50 areas around the world including East and West Africa, South America, Mediterranean, Gulf of Mexico, Trinidad, North Sea, India, and Southeast Asia.

Tom Uphoff

Mr. Uphoff has more than 52 years of domestic and international experience in E&P, with a focus on new ventures. He has worked for major oil companies and independents at all stages of the E&P cycle, from basin evaluation and new play generation through prospect generation, drilling, and field development. His experience spans a broad range of tectonic regimes and depositional settings, with plays ranging in age from Precambrian to Tertiary.
